Band Monitoring is a comprehensive and cost effective way of protecting your property and family from burglary, fire and personal attack.
- We call the property to check if the alarm is real.
- If the alarm appears to be genuine we call up to six contacts and can also text.
- G4S Security Services (UK) mobile patrol officer can be sent to check.
Monitoring with Police/Fire Brigade Response
Traditional monitoring from Band Systems is a single path system. Signals are sent via the telephone line to the alarm receiving centre. If one sensor is activated nominated key holders are called. If two or more sensors are activated the alarm receiving centre calls the police. This is known as a confirmed alarm.

The police are also called if a panic button is pressed.
The fire brigade can also be called to a smoke alarm protecting your home while you are away.
The alarm meets recent regulations known as DD243 and PD6642 which are required by the police for any police response alarm.
Red Care monitoring with Police/Fire Brigade Response
This system has a dual monitoring path. It uses the telephone line (using a 'digital communicator') and in addition has a mobile phone type connection. If the land line is cut or fire damaged then the mobile link can take over and send a signal to the alarm receiving centre.
Red Care GSM
This system has a dual monitoring path. Instead of a standard telephone line it uses a Red Care telephone line. Red Care constantly monitor the line and can signal if the line is cut or fire damaged. In addition there is a secure radio data link. If the land line is cut or fire damaged then the mobile link can take over and send a signal to the alarm receiving centre. If the signals to both land line and radio fail then the police can be called to confirm activation.
GPRS
General packet radio service (GPRS) is a packet oriented mobile data service available to users of the 2G cellular communication systems global system for mobile communications (GSM), as well as in the 3G systems.
GPRS can provide instant connections subject to radio coverage.
No dial-up modem connection is necessary.
GPRS is rapid, mobile and enables SMS & email communication. |
